Saturday
Today was the first day of my winter vacation, and I woke up feeling both excited and a little nervous. The weather outside was chilly but sunny, perfect for a morning walk. After breakfast, I decided to take a stroll around the neighborhood with my dog, Max. It felt good to breathe in some fresh air and enjoy the quiet streets.
Later in the afternoon, I spent some time reading an English novel that I had been meaning to finish. The story is set in London, which made me feel like I was traveling without leaving home. Reading in English helps improve my vocabulary and comprehension, and it’s also a great way to relax.
In the evening, I called my cousin who lives in Canada. We chatted about our plans for the holiday season and shared stories from our daily lives. Speaking with her reminded me how important it is to stay connected with loved ones, even when we’re far apart.
As I reflect on today, I realize that taking small steps each day can make the most of this break. Whether it’s through reading, walking, or talking to family, these moments help create memories and keep me motivated.
Goodnight! I hope tomorrow brings more opportunities to learn and grow.
